Honest answers, in plain words.
That is UseTemp's own address ending, and it works instantly for receiving mail — exactly the same as any other email address.
Yes. Type a name in the box in the address card — 3 to 30 characters, letters, numbers, dots, dashes or underscores — and tap Create. If somebody already has that name, we will tell you right away so you can try another. Your old address is not lost: it stays under My addresses and you can switch back to it, with its emails still there.
Most codes arrive within seconds, but a few things can go wrong:
No. Deleting is final and happens right away: the address and every email in it are gone and nobody can bring them back, not even us. Never use a UseTemp address for an account you might need to get back into later — password reset emails for it could never reach you.
No — you can only receive email here. Sending is off on purpose: it keeps things simple and stops this service being used for spam. If you need to reply to someone, use your regular email.
Yes. Making addresses and receiving mail is free. There is no account and nothing to pay.
For 24 hours. Every email is deleted automatically 24 hours after it arrives, and deleting the address removes everything right away. Switching to another address does not delete anything — switch back within 24 hours and your emails are still there. Addresses themselves last 10 days from the moment they are created — using one does not extend that time, and once it expires it simply stops working. Each inbox also keeps only the newest 50 messages: when a 51st arrives, the oldest one is removed. This is a throwaway inbox, not storage: keep nothing here that you cannot afford to lose, and never use it for banking, password recovery, or anything important.
Your inbox is locked with a secret key that only your browser holds — knowing the address alone is not enough to open it, and we cannot look inside without that key. The trade-off: the key lives in this browser, so clearing your browser data, or opening UseTemp on another device, loses access to the inbox. That is fine for throwaway sign-ups and one-time codes — but never use UseTemp for banking, money, or anything personal.
